Art of Anwar Sagitov – it's poetry and lyrics of colour, professional sense of form and composition. In all his paintings can feel an endearing kindness of the soul, the love of life. Sensitive artist, A. Sagitov masterfully transmits the basic idea of the work, involving the viewer in a creative dialogue. Future artist was born January 5, 1935 in the village Haydrar of the Bashkir ASSR. Later the family moved to Ufa. The severe beauty of the nature of the Ural, the charm of the old streets of Ufa had a great influence on the fine, sensitive soul of the boy. With seven years he began to study with the Art Studio at the House of Culture, which was led by the city's oldest artist Gennady Ogorodnikov. Classes at the studio have given a lot to young artist.
In 1953, on the advice of G. Ogorodnikov, Anwar Sagitov entered the Kazan Art School. In 1955, the third year's student of the Kazan School Sagitov was drafted into the army. For four years he served in the Army – Navy: has visited the Far East, the Baltic Sea, and Kamchatka, passed the Northern Sea Route. The artist forever loved the endless expanse of water. This love he transmitted on his canvases in the image of spaces of the Volga, Kama, and the waters of the Bosphorus. After demobilization in 1959, Anwar Sadykov continued his studies at the Kazan Art School, where classes with undergraduates led great masters, artists – teachers: Viktor Kudelkin, Emmanuel Lipkind, Semion Rotnitsky. After graduating from college in 1962, Sagitov was sent to Ufa, in the School of the Arts. He quickly entered into the creative life of artists of Bashkortostan, wrote a lot, since 1962, participated in national exhibitions, and later – in the regional and Russian. For 20 years (until 1982 year) he taught painting, drawing and composition. In 1980, on the recommendation of the leading artists of the BASSR Akhmad Lutfullin and Boris Domashnikov, Anwar Sagitov was admitted to the Union of Artists.
Recent decades A. Sagitov lives and works in Kazan. Everything he writes – is clear, accessible and close to any spectator. His art has gone beyond Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Russia – paintings of A. Sagitov are stored in the Bashkir State Art Museum named after M.V Nesterov in Ufa, in the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan, in the National Cultural Center "Kazan", in Museum of the village Lenino- Kokushkino of Pestrechinsky District RT, in "Bazin – Museum" in Istanbul, as well as in many galleries and private collections in Europe, Asia and America. The exhibition "The poetry of art" features more than 100 works of A.G. Sagitov reflecting his entire artistic career: landscapes, portraits, thematic works related to the history of Tatar culture.
